On 14th May 2010 I was invited to an open day at H.G.Matthews Brick factory in Chesham.
There were presentations by different professionals and specialists in the field, including someone from Colonial Williamsburg in America who had constructed a brick kiln and demonstrated their traditional brickmaking methods.
Brick Union Jack for the Dad's Army Museum, bricks are fired at different temperatures to achieve the 'red, white and blue'.
