Portman House, Jian Ye Ki is a historic preservation and redevelopment project located in the heart of Shanghai's French Concession. Build in the early 1930's, Jian Ye Li i sone of the city's finest examples of Shukumen-style housing - design unique to Shanghai that blends traditional Chinese residential elements with functional Western amenities. Consisting of luxury town homes, retail, dining and entertainment venues, the Portman House project will resotre Jian Ye Li to its original design while providing modern conveniences that offer residents and visitors a distinctive way to experience the history of Shanghai. - from information label.
